Layered "Glass" Pendant using Shrink Plastic

Recently I was looking at my layered glass painting of our cat gypsy and thought now why couldn't I do the same thing in miniture to be used as pendants. So I thought maybe I could paint on transparencies and float them in resin. Sounded like a good idea untill I realized painting that small is easier said than done.

My next idea was to use shrink plastic so that I could do my work at twice the size as what I needed and so my 1st pendant was born.

I just used Sharpies on my test one. I drew the clouds on one side of the plastic the tree on the other. Then on another piece of plastic I drew the leaves and flowers. I still plan to embed the layers in resin in the future, but for now playing and experimenting should be fun!

Here's to you..

I Hope you all had a Happy Holiday and have a Great New Year!

'Who are YOU?' said the Caterpillar.

This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, 'I—I hardly know, sir, just at present—at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

'What do you mean by that?' said the Caterpillar sternly. 'Explain yourself!'

'I can't explain MYSELF, I'm afraid, sir' said Alice, 'because I'm not myself, you see.'

Happy Thanksgiving All

"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scottish poem written by Robert Burns in 1788 and set to the tune of a traditional folk song. The song's Scots title may be translated into English literally as "old long since", or more idiomatically, "long long ago" or "days gone by". Matthew Fitt uses the phrase "In the days of auld lang syne" as the equivalent of "Once upon a time..." in his retelling of fairy tales in the Scots language.
